Comprehensive Health Check-Up Camp Organized in Borsad to Mark 7th Poshan Pakhwada

To commemorate the 7th Poshan Pakhwada, Ashadeep Human Development Centre, Vidyanagar, in collaboration with ICDS Borsad Taluka (Blocks 1, 2, and 3) and CVM Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, organized a Medical Health Check-Up Camp on April 5, 2025. The camp was specially designed to address the health needs of severely malnourished children (SAM), moderately malnourished children (MAM), pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

The event aimed to promote holistic health and nutrition awareness as part of the national Poshan Abhiyan mission, which envisions a malnutrition-free India.


Dignitaries and Institutional Support

The program witnessed the gracious presence of key stakeholders:

  • Tejalben Shah, Program Officer, ICDS, Anand District

  • CDPO Rupalben Mistry (Block 1)

  • CDPO Maltiben Padhiar (Blocks 2 & 3)

  • NNM Block Coordinator

  • Supervisors and PSE Instructors from ICDS

The event was efficiently coordinated and implemented by the team from Ashadeep Human Development Centre, reflecting their ongoing commitment to public health and community development.


Health Services Delivered to 241 Beneficiaries

Medical professionals from CVM Homoeopathic Hospital, including Dr. Nidhi, Dr. Mehfuza, and Dr. Abhilasha, conducted detailed health assessments. A total of 241 beneficiaries—including children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers—received free health check-ups and homoeopathic medicines.

The camp focused on:

  • Nutritional status assessment of children

  • Maternal health screening

  • Health education and counselling for mothers

  • Free distribution of medicines


Commitment to Tackling Malnutrition

This initiative reflects a collaborative approach to combating malnutrition at the grassroots level. By bringing together healthcare, nutrition, and community awareness under one roof, Ashadeep and its partners aim to provide sustainable health solutions for vulnerable populations.
