Ashadeep Human Development Centre, Vidyanagar, marked the 134th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar with a celebration that brought together students, community leaders, educators, and local organizations. The event honored Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice and equality.

The ceremony began with an inspirational address followed by a floral tribute from Ashadeep’s Director, Mr. John Kennedy, who underscored the importance of Dr. Ambedkar’s values in today’s society. The gathering featured a ceremonial lamp-lighting by Community Leaders, symbolizing the spread of enlightenment and knowledge.

A highlight of the celebration was the compelling speech by Grade 8 student Mohammad Arsh from Palaiya village, who recounted Dr. Ambedkar’s life journey with passion and clarity. His address resonated with the audience as he emphasized the significance of his motto, “Educate, Organize, and Agitate”—a call to empower oneself, unite as a community, and actively engage in societal transformation.

Community leaders, including representatives from Jargal village, Vadal, and Dr. Ramanbhai from Borsad, further elaborated on Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions toward building a just and inclusive society. Their speeches highlighted the ongoing relevance of his teachings in the fight against discrimination and inequality.

The program was enriched with a soulful musical performance by Deepakbhai Doshiyat, whose tribute through song deepened the emotional impact of the day. Director John Kennedy, in his closing remarks, stressed the importance of sustained community collaboration and shared responsibility in carrying forward Dr. Ambedkar's legacy.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks from the students and a shared meal, reinforcing the spirit of unity and collective commitment to social reform. The event not only commemorated a revered leader but also served as a powerful reminder of the continuous efforts needed to foster a more equitable society.
